Meet the Creator
- A Note From Me
Hello, loves! My name is Lexi! And Im a freelance artist based in Texas with a love for vintage aesthetics and a flair or feminine designs. Inspired by my love for antiquing and fashion, I make art for the romantics and fairytale lovers. I also adore taking inspiration from historical elements like french rococo or chinoiserie florals. As both an artist and designer I'm constantly on the search for new inspiration. I like to think of my style as a mix of dreamy fantasy with a little impressionism! Like how all life is beautifully imperfect. Thank you for taking the time to watch my journey as a creator and I hope you enjoy having my creations in your home as much as I enjoyed making them. <3
About my Art and Style
Painting and creating has became an outlet to express my femininity and show my appreciation for others. Whenever I come up with a new painting idea I take a lot of time studying the kind of details I want to add, how I can include symbolism, and perfecting certain color schemes. Each brush stroke is unique and made especially for you. As an artist and designer, I take a lot of inspiration from various rich cultures and historical eras with a touch of divine femininity! I like to think of my style as a combination of impressionism and rococo-my brushtrokes are messy and imperfect but my overall paintings create a sense of dreamy wonder while still fitting into our beautifully imperfect world. My artwork embraces its flaws, turning rough lines into something soft and delicate.
One thing you may notice about me is that I love antiquing! Its like treasure hunting but through different periods of time, and I always find the most beautiful things that I use for inspiration in my art as well as meet the most wonderful people. And while earning my degree in fashion design, I learned a lot about sustainability and how consumerism has a negative impact on the environment. I started antiquing as a means to find artistic inspiration, but I also do it as a way to give new life and meaning to objects that were previously loved by someone else.
